Fotógrafo alemán nacido en Westfalia en 1897, afincado en la ciudad española de Vitoria, y padre del prestigioso fotógrafo Alberto Schommer García. NOTA HISTÓRICA: Este puente fue parcialmente destruido por el ejército republicano durante la guerra Civil española, pero fue puesto rápidamente en servicio apoyándolo en dos ménsulas de hormigón armado.
