Vista general de la locomotora numero 21 de tipo 0-3-0 T, era la más antigua de cuantas tuvo el citado ferrocarril. Casi la misma veterania alcanzó don José, que a lo largo de su vida ferroviaria paso por ocho líneas explotadas por el Estado, la primera de ellas la de Murcia-Caravaca, antes de ser absorbida por RENFE. Su jubilación coincidió con el cierre del tramo Carcagente-Gandía
