NOTA HISTÓRICA: Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (ATSF), conocido también como el Santa Fe o AT&SF, fue uno de los ferrocarriles más largos de Estados Unidos. Constituido en Kansas por la Atchison and Topeka Railroad Company hacia 1860 para dar servicio a las ciudades de Atchison, Kansas, Topeka, Kansas y Santa Fe, alcanzó su longitud máxima en 1941, disminuyendo a partir de entonces. El 31 de diciembre de 1996 se fusionó con la Burlington Northern Railroad (BNR), dando lugar a la Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF), quien sigue operándola en la actualidad.
