Locomotive à vapeur saturée, compound à 2 cylindres, tiroirs cylindriques pour trains de voyageurs sur lignes de montagne. Construite en 1902 pour la Compagnie de la Méditerranée, ce sont les premières machines de ce type ayant existé en Europe. Les 30 unités de cette série, devenue 7501-7530 de l´Etat Italien, ont été modernisées par Amstrong, à Gênes, en 1925.
