Los coches cama T2 tienen 18 departamentos de 2 plazas cada uno, de los cuales 9 están a nivel de piso y otros 9 a nivel superior. Pueden circular a 140 km./h., están dotados de aire acondicionado y fueron construidos entre los años 1978-80. RENFE adquirió 45 coches (S/5.400) de los que 44 estaban en servicio en 1984. La Compañía Internacional de Coches Camas adquirió 20 coches T2 (S/5.300)
